What the inspectors say about Sheffield Cosmetic Laser Centre

The Sheffield Cosmetic Laser Centre was inspected by the Healthcare Commission in 2003 and an inspection report was published.

We are proud of our clinic’s performance and believe that the inspection report accurately reflects our service. The report is a large technical document and is written in dense jargon which may be difficult to interpret. The inspector’s summary might be the most useful part of the report and it includes the following statements:-

"It was evident on the day of inspection that the clinic has a culture of openness combined with a keenness to improve and ensure the quality of the service provided. The atmosphere within the clinic was found to be relaxed, welcoming and friendly. Staff were very responsive to any comments made during the inspection process and were found to be very knowledgeable of the National Minimum Standards. Auditing of the service is undertaken to maintain the standards of treatment provided by the clinic.

The clinic has produced a very detailed comprehensive statement of purpose and very informative client guide. In house training is provided to a high quality with both internal and external speakers/trainers used. Attendance at national training events is undertaken and input to the national laser users conference made"

There were no requirements or recommendations as to how the clinic might improve its service or further fulfil its statutory obligations.
